Serve IN (serving the Church)

We need our members and friends to Serve IN our congregation on Sunday mornings, and we ask that everyone take a turn helping out at least a couple of times a year. There are a lot of areas you can help out! Check out the online signup form by clicking the box below and pick your date!

Serve OUT (serving the community)

A major part of our vision to LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL is to have regular opportunities for you to put “boots on the ground” and serve in hands-on missions. We are challenging you to participate in at least two of these projects each year. We pray you’ll take on the challenge!

Camp Bear Creek Volunteer Work Day

Time/Date: Saturday, May 10th from 9am-3pm

Location: Camp Bear Creek

We are participating in a volunteer work day at Camp Bear Creek helping get the site ready for the summer, which will include things like setting up arts & crafts, moving furniture, cleaning lifejackets and caving helmets, organizing supplies, splitting firewood, painting, and more. There will be both physical and non-physical roles available, so all ages and abilities are welcome and invited.

Humble Dwellings

Time/Date: Saturday, May 24 at 9am

Location: Parkview, and then recipient’s new dwelling

Humble Dwellings’ mission is to serve people in need in our community by transforming their living spaces into a warm and inviting home using gently-used furniture and household items. We will meet at the Humble Dwellings storage space in Park View to load furnishings into a truck and then go to a home and assist the recipient in furnishing their new home. Volunteers should expect to be on their feet, carrying and lifting boxes. We need 10-12 people to serve.

Riverbend Food Bank

Time/Date: Monday, June 9th from 3:30 – 6:30
Location: River Bend Food Bank – North Park (between the old Sears and Von Maur)

We need 10 volunteers to help stock food onto shelves while clients shop. Wear closed-toed shoes, please. Anyone 10 and up is welcome to help. You will be standing and doing light lifting.
