Serve OUT (serving the community)

A major part of our vision to LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL is to have regular opportunities for you to put “boots on the ground” and serve in hands-on mission. We are challenging you to participate in at least two of these projects each year. We pray you’ll take on the challenge starting this month with our two current projects.

Riverbend Food Bank- Saturday, October 8th

Meet at the Riverbend Food Bank at 8am for a fun morning of serving others! Volunteers will walk through a line filling bags with grocery supplies, which will be given to children in need of food for the weekend. Some light lifting may be needed. Ages 5 and up.  Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/jBbZMyM

Kings Harvest Mealsite/Food Pantry- October 22nd

Meet at Kings Harvest in downtown Davenport to assist in their bi-weekly grocery giveaway and serve a hot meal to the homeless population.  This is a very valuable ministry in our community, and we are blessed to be participating!  Volunteers will be standing and might need to do light lifting.  Ages 18 and up only.  Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/VYEYLoD

Read With a 2nd Grader, Every Monday morning from 10:15-11am

We are again partnering with a 2nd grade classroom at Bettendorf’s Mark Twain School, 1620 Lincoln Road, to listen to children read or play a spelling game or work on a reading task. It usually lasts about 45 minutes. We like to have 3 people each week.  This is a one-time commitment but you can sign up for as many times as you like.  Sign up at: https://signup.com/go/SmrCkBJ

Serve IN (serving the Church)

We need our members and friends to Serve IN our congregation on Sunday mornings, and we ask that everyone take a turn helping out at least a couple of times a year.  There are a lot of areas you can help out!  Check out the online signup form by clicking the link below and pick your date!
