Kids Against Hunger (need 35 volunteers)

Package meals assembly-line style in the fellowship hall.  The meals will provide much-needed nourishment to impoverished areas. Volunteers will be standing.  Ages 6 and up.

Family Resources (need 5 volunteers)

Volunteers will go to the Family Resource center on Lombard St (near the former Genesis West) to help sort donated clothing for distribution to families and individuals in need of clothing.  Any age is welcome.

Humble Dwellings (10-15 volunteers)

Volunteers will travel to ParkView to select furnishings, load a trailer and then transport the items to a home in Davenport near St. Ambrose.  We will then fully furnish and decorate a new home for a family of four with two teen girls.  Volunteers should expect to be serving until 1:30-2pm.  We need folks for both carrying and decorating. This will involve lifting and carrying, but is very rewarding!  Teens and older.

Prayer Shawls (any number of volunteers)

Work on creating comforting prayer shawls for our prayer shawl ministry in the session room downstairs.  If you don’t know how to knit, this would be a great way to learn!  Perfect for those who are unable to perform physical labor/stand.  Any age is welcome

Hope at the Brick House– baking cookies (3-4 volunteers)

Bake several dozen cookies for the kids in the Hope at the Brick House after-school program in the church kitchen.  Supplies will be provided at church.  Any age is welcome.

Bettendorf Parks (10 volunteers)

Help beautify our city parks by spreading mulch and doing some basic gardening at two different parks.  Will involve lifting and bending.  Any age welcome (but perfect for teens!)

Serve IN (serving the Church)

We need our members and friends to Serve IN our congregation on Sunday mornings, and we ask that everyone take a turn helping out at least a couple of times a year.  There are a lot of areas you can help out!  Check out the online signup form by clicking the box below and pick your date!

Serve OUT (serving the community)

A major part of our vision to LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL is to have regular opportunities for you to put “boots on the ground” and serve in hands-on missions. We are challenging you to participate in at least two of these projects each year. We pray you’ll take on the challenge!
