At Bettendorf Presbyterian Church’s Knight’s of North Castle VBS, kids will become brave Knights on a noble mission, to search for and put on the armor of God. Knights will learn to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of God’s power.

Each quest will begin by opening the King’s Book. The Knights will explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of protective armor- the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation- at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters, and explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God.

Help kids take up the gauntlet this summer and accept the challenge to “armor up” and be strong by remaining with God and sharing God’s love in a world that needs it more than ever.

Knights will begin their journey with worship at 6:00 PM as we armor up for our mission. Knights will then journey with their troop through their stations: the Knight’s Tales, Camelot Crafts, Tournament Training, Noble Missions, Medieval Melodies and Swords of Science.

All BPC kids who are have completed kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us on our quest at Knights of North Castle! Unfortunately, due to changes around COVID-19, we are unable to open our VBS to the public this year. We are currently only opening registration for families in our church or who have been coming to our church regularly. While we would love to have as many of our families participate as possible, we understand that even with the changes we have made some families will choose to stay home this year. If you feel uncomfortable participating in an in-person VBS this year, please reach out to Jake to sign up for an at-home option.

We are also in need of some brave youth and fearless adult leaders to help train and equip the Knights for their quest.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power”- Ephesians 6:10

We hope you will join us for this journey of a lifetime, from August 9-13, 6:00-8:30 PM, at BPC.

** All BPC families should have received a letter with the changes we have made in response to COVID-19. If you did not receive this letter, please contact Jake. Check your email for future updates about our VBS. We will continue to monitor and follow CDC restrictions and guidelines. As of now, we are planning to continue on as scheduled with VBS and will have it if it is safe to do so.

Here is a link to the this year’s VBS website. Please register in advance so that we know who is coming. Please also register each volunteer that would like to help make this a successful quest. For more information, contact Jake O’Connor.
