The Worship Committee facilitates the worship of God by coordinating those support activities related to the worship service.

The Worship Committee schedules greeters, ushers, liturgists, communion servers, candle lighters and caretakers for the nursery. It also coordinates communion preparation.

The Worship Committee supports the music department and their communication with the Session. It arranges for pulpit supply when the pastor is gone, and coordinates the decoration of the sanctuary for Lent, Advent and other special occasions.

Those who would like to participate in the Worship Committee or assist with Worship planning are encouraged to contact the church office.

9:00 AM Worship – Praising God in the Reformed Tradition

Our 9:00 AM Traditional service is a worship service in which we honor God through scripture, prayer, silent reflection, the breaking of bread and hymn singing while we embrace the rich tradition and history of Christianity. During the school year the Chancel Choir or another special music group leads us in worship. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for people to come from all walks of life to encounter God with other brothers and sisters in Christ, become Christ’s disciples, and then share the Good news with all they meet.

11:00 AM Worship – “The Bridge” – It’s All About the Heart

When you attend the Bridge at 11:00 AM on Sundays, you can expect a casual, come-as-you are atmosphere (jeans and shorts are standard for many). Music is a delightful mix of hymns both ancient and modern and modern worship favorites. Our goal is to provide God’s people the environment to worship, learn, and grow in the freedom of Christ as we pray together, learn together, break bread together, laugh together and grow together. We strive for authentic worship and dynamic encounters with God so we might become Christ’s disciples going forth to share His love outside of the four walls of the church building.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace!
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console.
To be understood as to understand.
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving
That we receive.
It is in pardoning
That we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
