The Outreach Committee’s purpose is to build bridges into our community to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Committee reaches out to the community by organizing teams to participate in walks to raise money and awareness for different causes. Our church family is currently active in the Quad City CROP Walk, the Race for the Cure, and the Relay for Life. We are encouraging members to submit other walks that they would like us to be involved in.
At Bettendorf Presbyterian Church, we encourage the entire family of God to worship together. However, if you so choose we provide loving care for your infant or toddler while you are here on Sunday morning. Nursery care is provided from 8:45 AM until 12:30 PM. The nursery is staffed by a hired caregiver and additional member volunteers during worship. Pagers are available for parent’s peace of mind!
The Welcome Table is staffed each week by volunteers to provide a spot for visitors and members alike to find devotion resources, monthly newsletters and valuable information about our current programs in addition to information on upcoming activities and mission projects.
Greeters are scheduled at the doors in the Narthex for both the 9:00 and 11:00 services to be sure that all are welcomed and assisted with any special needs or directions.
The Gilded Pages Book Discussion Group meets every fourth Monday of every month(unless calendar/events precludes a specific date from being appropriate) at 7:00 PM usually in the home of one of the members for the purposes of learning about what others are reading, and, for discussing a pre-selected book to gain insight into different author viewpoints, and to expand and stretch each member’s reading experience. Members need only to have a love for books and reading and a desire for fun, food, and fellowship. The books are chosen either by group consensus or by the discussion leader.
