Welcome Tiffany Horvath, Our New Children's Ministry Director!
We are excited to introduce Tiffany Horvath as the new director of Children’s Ministry at Bettendorf Presbyterian Church.
Tiffany, along with her husband Drew and their children Taylor, Anthony and Alyssa moved to the QCA this past summer from Alaska. Drew is a civilian employee of the Rock Island Arsenal.
Those of you who were lucky enough to be a part of this past Christmas season’s Madrigal which Tiffany wrote, produced and directed know the exceptional energy, creativity and excitement that Tiffany brings to her calling as our CM director.
Tiffany comes to us with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern New Mexico University. She has had extensive work with non-profits; in coordinating and supervising various programs as well as in public relations. She has worked as syndicated columnist in various Alaskan newspapers and was a weather anchor and news producer for ABC – Alaska’s Super station. Tiffany brings a rich variety of community service heavy in performing arts and working with youth. She is a long time member of Palmer United Protestant Church in Palmer, Alaska where she taught Sr. High youth, led mission trips, coordinated Vacation Bible School and wrote and produced their annual Madrigal Dinner.
Tiffany officially begins her duties as CM director on May 1st. Please make an effort to welcome her to mission and ministry of BPC!
Note from Tiffany:
I am extremely excited to begin my new position as BPC’s Director of Children’s Ministry, and not just because of the wonderful redecorated office with new carpet that has been created for the position!!!! Anyone who has met me can probably attest to the fact that I am a BIG fan of Psalm 100…it begins, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord….” I think one of the reasons I enjoy working with youth so much is that it gives me an excuse to be noisy (not that I need much of an excuse)! Although we have lived here under a year, my family and myself cannot express how much being a part of the Bettendorf Presbyterian Church has meant to us. This congregation’s welcoming spirit of hospitality, warmth, caring and joy in what it does has rapidly made BPC a second home to us. I truly look forward to meeting and working with all the families in our congregation as we work together to become one with Christ, in joy and learning and, of course, noise!
PSALM 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God;
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise;
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.
