Youth Stewardship

The purpose of Youth Stewardship is to assist children in establishing a pattern of giving to the life of the church and to develop a sense of mission as they look at the world around them.

The youth of our church are busy making a difference in many lives around them. They continue to sponsor a little girl from Bangladesh with their offerings each Sunday. Balika Das is our sponsor child who lives in a village near Jessore in Bangladesh. Our donations help provide her with educational opportunities along with basic health services. We have been corresponding with her for 3 years, sending notes and information about our church life and telling her what children in the Quad Cities like to do. We enjoy the letters and pictures she sends to us as well. What a wonderful way to learn about another culture and make a new friend!

Our kids also make donations to the Food Pantry, One Great Hour of Sharing, and Blankets. In December we decorate a Christmas tree with hats, scarves, mittens and gloves, then donate those items to kids in our area who are in need. Kids are powerful and we are always looking for more ways to help others.
