About the Stewardship/Finance Committee
The Stewardship/Finance Committee plans for, solicits, organizes, and reports on the gifts of time, talent, tithes, offerings, and special gifts offered by members and friends of Bettendorf Presbyterian Church.
Please be prayerfully considering how you'll grow in your stewardship commitment this year. While the mathematical mechanics of a tithe would suggest 10% of your Adjusted Gross Income (line 33 of last year's income tax return), what's important is that your grow toward that commitment in this stewardship season. This isn't about covering a church budget. . .it's about having a right relationship with God in the form of returning to Him a portion of the blessings he's given you.
From Malachi, Chapter 3: ""Return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord of Hosts. . .but you say, "How shall we return?" "Bring the full tithes into the storeroom. . .and thereby put me to the test," says the Lord of Hosts. . .[and see] if I will not open the windows of heaven for you, and pour down for you an overflowing blessing."
