Fourth Annual Chili Cook-Off. Small Group/Growth Group Ministries will be hosting our 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Super Bowl Party on Sunday, February 5, 2012, starting around 4:00p.m. for pre-game fun. Please bring your favorite Chili for a chance to win "Top Chili". If you don't eat chili, bring your favorite soup. As always, bring your favorite snacks to share and we will provide the beverages.
We have some really exciting classes for our third quarter, which will start the week of February 5, 2012. All of our classes will be in the evening, but we may have one available for Sunday morning as well. Check the bulletins and website for more informaiton on the classes and sign up. We look forward to seeing you at the party and as a part of our Growth Groups here at BPC.

BPC GROWTH GROUPS WINTER/SPRING 2012
GG#1: Young Adult Small Group- for those in their 20's and 30's
Leader: Chris Werner
Time:Sundays @6:30pm
Location: Werner's house
During this small group session we will be journeying together through the book of Hebrews. This series will challenge us to take a high view of Christ as the bridge between humanity and God as well as discover the joy that comes with knowing Jesus.
GG#2: The Gospel of Mark
Leaders: Montie and Caryn Gauss
Time: Tuesdays @ 7:00pm
Location: Gauss's house
Mark is a fast paced gospel with lots of action in just a few pages. Come join us at our home as we take the time for fellowship and to study this gospel. We will have food, fun, and discussion, as we learn about Jesus and how we can become more like him. We are praying for a great turn out and that you will be able to join us.

GG#3: Being Reformed: Faith Seeking Understanding

I am excited about leading this study. "Being Reformed" is the new adult curriculum for the PCUSA. These studies "focus on what we believe, how our devotion is expressed, and what implications for actions and obedience we are being called toward as Reformed and Presbyterian Christians." We will be studying "Discipleship: The Way of Jesus" by John Burgess, and "Seeking Social Justice" by Elizabeth Hinson-Hasty. Please join us for a time of fellowship (food) and study. I look forward to seeing you there.
