9:00 AM Worship - Praising God in the Reformed Tradition

Our 9:00 AM Traditional service is a worship service in which we honor God through scripture, prayer, silent reflection, the breaking of bread and hymn singing while we embrace the rich tradition and history of Christianity. During the school year the Chancel Choir or another special music group leads us in worship. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for people to come from all walks of life to encounter God with other brothers and sisters in Christ, become Christ’s disciples, and then share the Good news with all they meet.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Chris Werner and accompanied by Debra Swift, provides the 9:00 AM worship service with a variety of styles and genres of choral music from Bach to gospel, from music of the early church to modern music of the current contemporary Christian mainstream.

This vibrant ensemble is open to all adults, and high school students whose voices have changed. All that is required to be a part of this group is a desire to sing, enjoy the fellowship of other Christians, and worship our saving Lord through music. We focus on praise, not perfection, therefore perfect pitch and music reading skills are NOT required. In fact, we’ve even been known to make mistakes and laugh about it! The Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.

BPC Symphony

The BPC symphony comes together to lead our congregation in song several times a year and helps to accompany our special services, like Christmas and Easter.  The BPC Symphony is open to any instrumentalist regardless of skill, even if you haven’t played your instrument in years! This would be a great chance to dust it off and see if you can still make a joyful noise!

11:00 AM Worship - “The Bridge” - It's All About the Heart

When you attend the Bridge at 11:00 AM on Sundays, you can expect a casual, come-as-you are atmosphere (jeans and shorts are standard for many). Music is a delightful mix of hymns both ancient and modern and modern worship favorites. Our goal is to provide God’s people the environment to worship, learn, and grow in the freedom of Christ as we pray together, learn together, break bread together, laugh together and grow together. We strive for authentic worship and dynamic encounters with God so we might become Christ’s disciples going forth to share His love outside of the four walls of the church building.

Worship Teams

The members of The Bridge Praise & Worship Teams strive toward a common goal: Authentic worship and Passionate Praise. We hunger after God, and long to know Him and be in His presence.

We are not worship leaders - we are worshippers who lead by example. Before a single note is played or lyric sung, we enter into His presence to prepare for the honor of worshipping God with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The worship team meets every Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 PM for Bible study and rehearsal and gather one hour before worship for warm-up and prayer. Our goal is to provide a valuable worship experience for the worshippers at the Bridge Worship service at 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings. If you are feeling called to join a worship team, please call Chris Werner at the church (563) 355-6494 or email him at bpcworship@hotmail.com.

Worship Arts

If you are a graphic designer, sculptor, painter, or any other kind of visual artist please contact Chris to see how the gifts God has given you might be used for His glory!

Worship Planning Team

The BPC worship planning team meets monthly or as needed to plan our worship services and come up with thematic ideas, multi-sensory ideas, and dramas to enhance the services so we might come to encounter God during worship. We have planned a variety of services for special events, such as our Blue Christmas service, the Clinging to the Vine service, Ascension Day services, Pentecost, and more. If you feel like you might have some ideas and could help out, please contact Pastor Troy or Chris today to find out how you can get plugged in!
